2FacedDance

PROFESSIONAL DANCERS

The next stage was to reach out to professional dancers at 2FacedDance. We met dance artists Sam Buswell and Cameron Woolnough as well as an apprentice dance artist Owen Kennedy. It was interesting to hear about their experiences touring internationally and learning how they are having to operate through the pandemic. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting their lovely new premises and learning more about what they do as a homegrown Herefordshire company with an international reputation.

This was also the perfect opportunity for us to creatively experiment with our backgrounds using the dancer’s skills. For Cameron’s portrait, we staged it so that the other dancers were captured behind him doing handstands which added movement to his image and reflected their ‘P.O.V.’ as artists in Herefordshire.
